KYOTO is a leather slipper from the TOKU collection, with the calm, dignified look of Japanese minimalist design that runs through the whole range. The slippers and their designer, Piibe Tomp, were nominated for the Estonian Design Award 2024 in the Best Lifestyle Product category.

  • Upper in natural vegetable-tanned leather
  • Soft, breathable insole covered with natural cork
  • A layer of natural coconut fibre under the insole keeps the slipper breathable and absorbs shock
  • Lightweight microfibre outsole with a thin rubber layer against slipping

In the box:

  • a slipper bag made from leftover pieces from the service industry
  • a felt cloth for cleaning and polishing the upper

TOKU shoes are made by hand in southern Estonia by a small family company that has been making shoes since 1927. They follow slow fashion, using natural, good-quality materials and versatile, durable designs, so the slippers last for years.
