KYOTO is the leather slipper in Omaking's TOKU collection. Like the rest of TOKU, it follows Japanese minimalist design. Kyoto slippers and their designer, Piibe Tomp, were nominated for the Estonian Design Award 2024 in the Best Lifestyle Product category.
Upper: natural vegetable-tanned leather.
Insole: soft and breathable, covered with natural cork.
Under the insole: an extra layer of natural coconut fibre that lets the slipper breathe and absorbs shocks.
Outsole: lightweight microfibre with a thin layer of rubber against slipping.
Comes with:
a slipper bag made from leftover pieces from the service industry;
a felt cloth for cleaning and polishing the upper.
All TOKU shoes are made by hand in southern Estonia by a small family company that has been making shoes since 1927. They work in the spirit of slow fashion, with natural, high-quality materials and versatile designs that last, so the slippers will serve you for years.
