The adjustable Julle chair from Luula is meant to last a child through preschool and the primary school years. From the age of 2, the armrests keep a small child safe and steady in the seat and stop them from falling off. The legs splay outwards and are joined at the bottom, so the chair stays stable even on an uneven floor.
For a school-age child the armrests sit lower and do not restrict movement. In the top position the chair is used without armrests. Physiotherapists advise pupils to choose chairs without armrests, so that at home they do not get used to sitting at the table leaning on one hand.
The seat is padded, so its front edge does not press into the thighs. The soft back cushion is removable and held in place with adhesive tape, which lets you fix it at whatever height is needed. The upholstery is an eco velvet furniture fabric in a soft, muted colour that sits well in most rooms.
Because the chair adjusts as the child grows, there is no need to buy a new one for each age group. The frame is laminated plywood with an upholstered seat and back, and the plywood edges are finished with natural linseed oil in a slightly darker tone. The chair holds up to 100 kg and stands very firmly. Its plain Scandinavian design goes especially well with Luula's children's tables Luula and Julle.
